In the creation of Rochester Family Orthodontics, the health, and safety of our patients and staff while providing quality, individualized orthodontic care was always top of mind. As our practice begins reopening in the era of COVID-19, we have been closely studying updated recommendations from the CDC, OSHA, the American Dental Association, and the American Association of Orthodontists and implementing some additional measures to ensure the well-being of anyone who may enter our office. The dental community has always followed rigorous procedures for infection control, so some of these things are new, and others are not.
Our office features:
Private treatment rooms
Low-volume practice model
State of the art sterilization center
High volume evacuation suction to retrieve aerosol when its production is needed for a procedure
HEPA air purifiers in each room
Additionally, we have implemented the following procedures:
Increased PPE for our staff
Wellness screenings for both staff and patients, including touch-free temperature checks
Curb-side check-in: please call the office when you arrive for your appointment, and we will have you come in when we are ready to see you
We ask that adult patients enter the office alone and that patients who are children be accompanied by one parent only
We ask that you wear a mask while in the office except during treatment
We may ask you to use hand sanitizer and rinse with mouthwash prior to starting treatment
We consider it a privilege to serve the Greater Rochester community, and we hope to see you soon.
